Performance Analysis of a Pulsejet Engine
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper investigates the performance of U-type pulsejet engine whose overall length is approximately 160 cm. Gas dynamics, acoustics and chemical kinetics were modeled to gain an understanding of various physical phenomena affecting pulsejet operation, scalability, and efficiency. The pulsejet was run in valveless mode on LPG fuel. Pressure, temperature, thrust, specific impulse, and concentrations of CO, NO and HC at exit of pulse jet engine were measured. Thrust is found to increase with increasing mf . Concentrations of CO, NO and HC at exit of pulse jet engine were increasing with increasing value of equivalence ratio.

Performance analysis a gas turbine cycle equipped with a double acting type stirling engine in a power generating unit
The aim of this study is to investigate the performance of a gas turbine cycle equipped with a Stirling engine from the thermodynamic point of view. In this system, part of the heat loss from the gas turbine is transmitted to a Stirling engine to generate more power. In the proposed system analysis, the governing equations of the hybrid cycle are modeled in MATLAB software and Schmidt and ideal...
متن کاملTurbofan Engine Performance under Reliability Measures Approach
In this paper, the authors investigated the various factors, which can affect the performance of a turbofan engine. For this, the various subunits of a turbofan engine like inlet duct, compressor, combustion chamber, liner, turbine, exhaust nozzle etc. are investigated to find its various reliability characteristics through Markov process and supplementary variable technique (SVT). The main adv...

Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of OM314 Diesel Engine Combustion and Performance Characteristics Fueled with DME
Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion is a pioneer method of combustion in which pre-mixed fuel and oxidizer (typically air) are compressed to the point of auto-ignition. HCCI engines can operate with most alternative fuels, especially, dimethyl ether (DME) which has been tested as a possible diesel fuel due to its simultaneously low NOx and PM emissions. In this paper a ...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of Different Modified MR Engines Mounts
Increasing current vehicle development trends for small, light, front wheel drive vehicles with low idle speeds have been forced automotive industries to use hydraulic engine mounts for further improvement in vibration, noise and harshness (NVH) performance of the vehicles. However, with the development of modern vehicle designs such as hybrid vehicles and variable engine management systems whi...
